The Conscious Birth Experience Expo

A birth expo for parents and soon to be parents to learn from local birth workers on how to reclaim their birth. Hosted by Morgan Parker, SLP and Melanie Llanes, PT, DPT. Morgan is the founder of Rooted, a center in Hoboken, NJ that fosters attachment with mother's and their children-- please insert your mission with this. Melanie is a Jersey City Pelvic Health PT that specializes in perinatal care. Both Morgan and Melanie seek out to dismantle the over-medicalized system of birth in the United States and help parents remember that birth is a natural process of which they should feel in complete control. They want moms to feel empowered to make conscientious decisions of how their birth should be. It's not just about having no interventions, it's about having a supportive team with you to work to help you deicide which interventions that you and your baby require.
